Over 35 Years Goldsmith Experience
I began my goldsmith training at the age of 15, working part time for a local independent jewelry store. After graduating from the Sacramento Institute of Jewelry Training, I took advantage of the opportunity to purchase the store when I was 20. For the next 33 years, my wife Carol and I built Danz Jewelers into a successful retail jewelry business, specializing in custom jewelry design and diamonds. In 2017 we decided it was time to sell the business, and chose to sell it to a long-time employee whom I had mentored since he graduated from high school.
During those 33 years I purchased and sold thousands of diamonds and all types of fine jewelry. I traveled frequently to New York City and Antwerp, Belgium, buying diamonds and creating contacts. I also specialized in custom jewelry design and refurbishing family heirlooms so they could be enjoyed for generations. I did my gemologist training through the Gemological Institute of America.
My experience in buying, selling, designing, and repairing jewelry, in addition to running a successful jewelry business uniquely qualifies me to help you with all your jewelry questions and concerns.
Even after I was no longer actively in the jewelry business, people still came to me for advice in making decisions about jewelry. For most people, buying or selling jewelry is a daunting task. I realized that there was a need for impartial jewelry consulting.
If you are thinking about purchasing a diamond or diamond jewelry, I can help you get the best value and the nicest diamond for your money. Every diamond is unique, creating a complex and confusing purchase for those without experience in the jewelry industry. I can help you buy with confidence, whether you are looking for a simple consultation or assistance with the actual purchase.
If you want to turn your unwanted diamonds, gold, or other precious jewelry into cash, I can help. I can give you several options to choose from. I have the experience and connections in the jewelry industry to guide you in your jewelry liquidation. Don’t let your assets just sit in a drawer.
(Also known as FAIR MARKET APPRAISALS) In an estate appraisal, “Fair market value” is defined as “the price at which such property would exchange hands between a willing buyer and a willing seller, neither being under any compulsion to buy or sell, and both having reasonable knowledge of relevant facts. This market generally represents what an item is worth if converted to cash by the person in possession of the piece.”
Division of jewelry in an estate can be quite challenging. Having professional advice, guidance, and mediation can help you split the estate fairly between beneficiaries. I can assist in dividing the jewelry by equal value, which is not always practical, or help liquidate some or all of the jewelry so that funds can be distributed appropriately.
I have designed, manufactured, and refurbished thousands of pieces of jewelry throughout my career. I am uniquely qualified to help you discover different options in creating a custom piece of jewelry. If you would like to discuss the possibilities of restoring a family heirloom, I will give you an honest assessment following a thorough inspection.
As an Independent jewelry professional, I can provide reliable, accurate, and experienced litigation support and testimony in civil and criminal cases.
Let me know what works for you
